Flying home with coins from a vacation

    Still no update. I tried calling the TSA office and they told me to hurry up and wait.

    I would think that the TSA baggage search areas are under camera survelance, or at least they should be. If you provide the date and general time your luggage would have been searched maybe you could file a police report and request that the tapes be viewed. That is IF there are cameras and IF the tape hasn't been erased, taped over or "lost".

    I had a similar thing happen with the TSA. Landed and my bag was missing, after reporting it I found out it was still in another state. The airport offered to deliver my bag and I received it later that evening. It had the TSA inspection tag, I had some electronics inside that were completely destroyed. They were out of their protective storage cases and appeared to have been hit against a wall repeatedly. I had traveled with my coins in my carry on, I will NEVER put anything important under a plane again. It should be required that inspections are on camera. Sorry about the missing/damaged coins GeorgeM.
