flea market/estate sale find - contellatio nova

    i know its been a while but I got this for 5 bucks. its not really my field buy I believe its a 1785 Crosby 3-B. I tried to get some decent pictures and I'm just wondering if it looks authentic to some of the others that might collect these.

    Sorry, I don't have a clue about your coin.

    Since you mentioned estate sales, (beside newspapers or on-line) would you happen to have any "inside" tips on how to find decent estate sales?

    Looks real to me. some corrosion, but for 5$? great deal.

    I would say genuine, but it is not a 3-B, the ray position is not correct. It may have enough detail to ID the variety, I may have time to check more closely later.
