Here is another Flavius Victor from my collection: FLAVIVS VICTOR, Pearl diademed, draped and cuirasssed bust.r. "DNFLAVICTOR". Rev.: Camp gate with two turrets; star above "SPES ROMANORVM", exerg. SMAQP". Mint:Aquileia, 1st officina AE. 387-388 (14mm../1,2 gr.6h.) ref.. RIC.IX.55b.1.LRBC 1104, VF.
Flavius Victor was often referred to by his contemporaries as "Flavey", and wore large sundials on a chain around his neck. Not to be confused with the present-day entertainer Flavor-Flav, whose propensity for large clocks as neckwear is well known. *Disclaimer: the BBC, CNN, and NPR wish to apologize for the content of this post, which was not approved by their editorial staffs or lawyers. Seriously though- neat coin. I had to take the quick refresher course on Flavius Victor. I don't remember if I ever had one of his coins in my old Roman ruler set, back in the day, though I had over a hundred different emperors and empresses and personalities. (I don't think I did.)
