I have news for them, it's not a five dollar note, it's a fifty cent note.

also, that's a 50 cents franctional note, not 5 dollars.

Looking at my year 2000 currency catalog, there are 5 varieties. Some have "perforated edges", some have straight edges, some have "ABNC" monogram on the back, some don't. I think this one may be the straight edge, ABNC which is the least valuable of the varieties, ranging from $15 (VG) to $100 (UNC). Keep in mind those are outdated 2000 prices

So what would it grade/ any price guesses?
Also, it says five dollars, so how is it 50 cents?

Fractional note from the first issue. No periferated edges with ABCo monogream on the back, with out seeing the other side. I would value it at $60. Interestingly, I own one of 4 known inversed notes of this exact series.

Do you happen to have a link to something where I can read more about notes like this?

They messed up. It's a 50 cent fractional note from the first issue. Without seeing the front, I would not bid.

It is a fifty cent note, and what they are showing is the redemption statement which states that they will be redeemed for lawful money when presented in sums of five dollars.

This would be embarrassing if I collected old currency.
