Well Ben if I was a regular reader of the PRWE section a noticed such things I would probably do the same thing and edit them. But again I will say - lawsuits are NOT the worry. And there is no CT rule on the issue. It is more a matter of doing what is right.

See...thats a matter of subjectivity as to what is right...I think its fine to post a full article (or photo) on a forum without linking to the source...just say where you got it...if there is no rule, why edit posts or worry about it.

I regularly post other peoples coin photos here for comparison or portions of other people research into a coin...then again I would never have a problem with someone using my photos. :)

    no big deal...jsut saying..

That's just it though, there is a rule. It is in fact the law - that's what I mean by what is right and there is no subjectivity about it whatsoever. And violation of it is punishable by both civil and criminal prosecution.

ITs not so cut and dry. All the same, people posting or not posting stuff they feel needs to be protected without permission probably has nothing to do with why they dont allow anyone to use their material even in a discussion forum and everything to do with getting people to their site or to buy a publication.

I wont make an issue of it course, you are the mod and what you say goes...
