FIRST TIME FOR ME

    Has anyone seen a coin with a blister like this one? And if so, what do you think caused this?.....First time I have seen one.....Well....That I remember .....:rolleyes: A BLISTER 2.jpg A BLISTER1.jpg

    That is a gas bubble between the zinc planchet and the copper plating. Every one will be different. That is a pretty big one though. I've had a few bigger in my searches but not many.

    That's probably a bubble of gas trapped in the planchet.

    That's a keeper.. Protect it. Don't burst it.

    Thanks furryfrog, Good to know I am not the only one with gas bubble problems..
    Well, at least the coin's gas bubble problem is in front and not in the rear....Like
    mine usually is.....:rolleyes:

    All kiddin aside, paddyman makes a good point about not letting the bubble burst..
    Any suggestions on how I should store this coin? Without bursting the bubble?

    @SmokinJoe the only thing I can think of is Pepto Bismol. It soothes and costs. Wish is could be of serious help, that's a great blister.

    An airtite or Dansco style album would work. I’ve never seen a blister that big. Cool find.
