Has anyone seen a coin with a blister like this one? And if so, what do you think caused this?.....First time I have seen one.....Well....That I remember .....
That is a gas bubble between the zinc planchet and the copper plating. Every one will be different. That is a pretty big one though. I've had a few bigger in my searches but not many.
Thanks furryfrog, Good to know I am not the only one with gas bubble problems.. Well, at least the coin's gas bubble problem is in front and not in the rear....Like mine usually is.....
All kiddin aside, paddyman makes a good point about not letting the bubble burst.. Any suggestions on how I should store this coin? Without bursting the bubble?
@SmokinJoe the only thing I can think of is Pepto Bismol. It soothes and costs. Wish is could be of serious help, that's a great blister.
