I believe the gold I have is 99.9% (i.e. 0.999 fitness). I have a few AGEs and quite a few Krugerrands.
I think it's more polar than acetone, though if a chemist contradicts me you should believe the chemist.
hooray you are our best bet to take us to the promised land. now do tell us about your sea experience and the coins. if we can eliminate the sea and sulphur then we should be pretty much home soon.
A related question in two parts: 1) Do you think PCGS would downgrade a PCGS PR70 coin for red spots, invoking their guarantee? 2) If so, what would they use for FMV to compensate the owner, their own (inflated?) price guide?
I don't see how they could do anything else but that. edit - there is one caveat though. PCGS will grade coins as a 70 even when they are toned. So if they decided to say that the red spots were the result of toning, the coin would not be downgraded. No way. They state quite plainly what they base their definition of FMV on. " It is understood that PCGS will be the sole determiner of the current market value of the coin and that current market value is defined as dealer replacement value, i.e. the price a dealer would most likely have to pay to replace the coin." http://www.pcgs.com/guarantee.html
Thanks! If I had an '07 Spouse with spots I'd try for an appearance review, let PCGS weigh in on this subject!
but grandpa we all know that the red spots are toning so how can they downgrade or is this is the point we go back to the toning premium monster you helped create.
