I have no doubt there's a frenzy among the speculators right now.

If any of us could answer that, we'd be so wealthy we wouldn't care what the prices were.

Prices have dropped back from their highs during the panic of the first few days after the mint sale, but I really doubt they will drop to the $500 level. The variability in closed auction prices is really amazing.

 

Maybe that's a sign that bidders are checking the credibity of the sellers?? (of course that might be wishful thinking)

THe mint changed my order date again. This they moved it up to 7/3 for the MW and the AA remains at 7/16

they erased my order off of my account, no email nothing, it is just gone! what is that about?

 

did you order before time? People who sneaked in before time had their orders canceleld. Also people whow ere toolate also had their orders cancelled. I would give thema call to find out.

 

I called and they said all is well, my order was not cancelled. They said it was on their computer but mine must be "having a problem loading". Considering we are talking about hundreds of dollars difference they better be correct.

 

now it hit a low of $520.00

my guess is the spouses gold will settled at around $500.00 - $550.00. now at e-bay, it hit a low of $520.00 now. some within few hours at only $400.00 plus.

Seems the prices have come down a bit. Think even the most optimistic flipper/collector relized this. How far and for how long is anyoneo's GUESS. l can remember when the 20th anniversary silver set came out. The frenzy on these this drove the certified 70 sets way up. Seems at one time they were briefly selling for $4,000 a set and then droped down to about $1,250 or so. Since they have crept back up to around the 2k level. I can see this happening to some of the spouce coins , in particular the martha washington coins which I believe will everntually seperate itself from the Abbie gold . The first , the first lady, the wife of George, there has got to be at least a small premium in there somewhere. ( Note. I am not really comparing the anniversary silver set to the spouce gold coins, two different animals . Both came out with a lot of speulation. The silver Anniversary set seems to have survied it with a strong collector base) . Enought rambling.

I have read the post in here from the NN magazine. Found it very interesting It stated that the mint expects to have abbie and martha distributed by the end of August . A rare thought came to mind lol. If the pirces of the first two coin settle in the mid to low $500 range, How many speculators/dealers (whatever) will cancel some of these august "expected to ship" order in order to free up some bucks to purchase the Liberty coin that may become available during this period. This may give the average collector who may have ordered kind of late or even early on the torturious "next in line" list a chance to get one for their personal collection.

3 of my items (MW and AA unc and AA proof) are 7/16/07.
the MW proof is set at 7/3/07.

 

7/15 for MW and AA unc. Ordered at 3:10. On the waiting list.

 

Im at 7/3 (MW) and 7/16(AA) for 1 proof of each. order dated 12:28, not on waiting list.

We may get them only because of many many flippers seeing that these coins are cooling off. They may cancel their orders that have not yet reveived. I think we have a shot at getting these!
