It's a little longer now too ... especially if you do the Cherrypickers' varieties ... and the SMS coins, four of em.

Jefferson nickels 1938-2010, then Roosevelt dimes 1946-2010, later, Franklin Halves 1948-1963 and Kennedy Halves 1964-2010. Closing in on Walkers (3 to go), Wahington Quarters (1 to go), Mercs (1 to go), Lincolns (2 to go) and IHC (4 to go).

These are some really nice first set guys, much better than my statehood quarters set!

Everyone has their own likings. You picked a great set to complete. I started collecting back when the last of the 40% silver Kennedys were being minted. Back then, nobody even thought about changing designs on coins except every 25 years or an act of congress. Had I started when the 50 state quarters were first issued, I probably would have started there too.

Indian Head Cents 1859 to 1909-S - Completed in April 2006. The story of this collection was published in Longacre's Ledger Vol 16.3, Issue #68.

Working on SLQ's, Morgans, Peace dollars, and Walkers now. Mainly Morgans and Peace dollars.

I never was much of a hole filler. I did get complete sets of Franklins and Rooselvelt silver dimes picking out all of the dates from junk silver piles. Not sure if that counts.

First "set" I ever deliberately completed was Byzantine Anonymous bronzes, though it is only complete A-M, and not all possible subvarieties.

Almost complete Mercury dime set (needs 16-D). Complete state hood quarter set. Thinking about starting a album of Silver Eagles, Memorial cents, or Washington quarters since it probably wouldn't be that expensive to complete.

Jeffs, now working on Lincolns, Rosies and Morgans. IHC and quarters (not state) as secondary.

    Good thread btw
