    I wouldn't pay over $100 . But I'd rather have unchopped pieces still that's a lot of money .

    The beauty of numismatics is the wide range of things which draw us to it. Some are here for the pristine Mint State examples of rare issues, and will make markets for high-end pieces from their issue of choice. Others are toning fans, and offer money which makes others of us scratch our heads in puzzlement for nice textile-toner Morgans.

    Yet others are history buffs, whose interest lies in the intersection of coins and the age in which they circulated. For them, a chopmarked Trade Dollar - a coin which did exactly as it was created for, during the time it was supposed to do it - is worth the financial reach over a Proof of the same issue.
