First Parthian drachm

    I've always thought these coins were beautiful. I have finally added one to my collection! I'm definitely thinking about collecting more of these. Ekbatana mint. Diademed bust left / Archer (Arsakes I) seated right on throne, holding bow; monogram below bow.

    Quite a nice example. Congrats. Orodes II, Sellwood 45.9, I believe.

    Thanks. Yes it is Orodes II. 57-38 BC. AR Drachm. Ekbatana mint. Diademed bust left / Archer (Arsakes I) seated right on throne, holding bow; monogram below bow. Sellwood 45.9; Sunrise –; Shore 222. VF.

    I also only have 1, Vologases III. I really like your coin. Parthians have a charm of their own. I hope to add more in the future.
