    Got my first Flavian on the post today which will be a good start for my roman collection! A denarius from Domitian. I found it in RIC II, Part 1 (second edition) Domitian 270 where it's marked as R2 so guess this one is hard to find. As a bonus the dealer had put some really nice stamps on the envelope I recieved today.

    Adv. IMP CAES DOMITIANVS AVG GERMANIC
    Rev. P M TR POT IIII IMP VIII COS XI P P

    Have two more Flavian coins on the way but they got stuck at the post office so will have to wait until the problem is solved so I can pick them up.

    That is a beautiful looking coin and some really cool stamps as well :)
    Not a bad way to start your collection of Flavians.

    This is the only somewhat decent Domitian that my son and I have in our collection:

    Curious how a crack develops in the middle of a coin without going to the edge. What's the weight?

    That is a most auspicious beginning to your Flavian collection! What a wonderful rarity. And it is indeed a very rare coin!

    I will be looking forward to your new additions!

    Thanks! I hope I find some more rarities, the two other coins that are on their way are a bit rare as well and in better condition than the eagle one. :)

    @furryfrog02 Thanks! Nice coin as well.

    @Ryro Really nice one!

    @Jay GT4 That is a beautiful version of the variation, I like the blueish patina.
