thanks for the advice guys, I did check his feedback before I bought the coin, and he got four negatives in a row from the same person. stainless
I have always bought my Ancient coins from dealers who guarantee their authenticity for life and provide return for full refund in case of dispute. For the past several years I have purchased most of my coins from VCOINS dealers because I admire, and believe in, the Code of Ethics to which they are required to subscribe. Otherwise, I have bought coins from dealers of long aquaintance and/or with stellar reputations (many of whom are also VCOIN dealers). In all of my dealings I have found them to be uniformly trustworthy, honorable and knowledgable. I have yet to have a "sour" dealing with any of them. That is not to say I may have received a bad (fake or "enhanced") coin from a dealer due to honest oversight -- nobody is infallible in appraising ancient coin authenticity -- but I expect to receive full monetary restitution in that eventuality and I really don't worry too much about it. I rarely buy coins on e-bay and when I do it is only from dealers with a sustained 100% favorable rating. Like most things in life, you usually get what you pay for - value wise. James
