Hi everyone. I have been trying to think of a contest that want totally lame for a long time. I just hit the 3000 post mark and the 500 likes achievement at the same time, so I figured I'd do my first contest for the first of the year. While at my local post office to mail out my 2014 secret Santa gift, I happened to notice a mural painted on the wall. The contest is simple: The first person to identify the significance of the scene as well as the person depicted will receive one random $1 silver certificate. One guess per person per day. No post count restrictions. As an added bonus, if someone guesses right within the first 24 hrs I will throw in a random small silver coin. If someone nails it they will get to choose whether the small silver coin is US or non-US. Good luck, and Happy New Year!
I will guess that the mural depicts Johnny Appleseed planting trees in the wilderness, Johnny Appleseeds true name was Jonathon Chapman.
It's the man who discovered the area where you live and is testing the dirt to see if the soil would be good for potential crops.
