[QUOTE="carl1949, post: 551723, member: 12263"]I haven't posted here in quite some time, althought I do check in and read the posts from time to time. Well I finally did it. I sent off 16 of my favorite coins to be graded by PCGS yesterday! Man I hated parting with these "pretties" even if they are insured. These are part of some coins my Grandfather gave me when I was a boy. That has been a while ago!

Coins included:

1843 O Seated Liberty quarter (my grades AU)

1938 D Liberty Walking half AU

1938 D Liberty Walking half XF+

1932 D Wash Quarter F

1825 Capped Bust half XF

1853 O Liberty Seated half (rays and arrows) XF

1846 O Liberty Seated half AU

1854 O Liberty Seated half XF

1921 D Merc Dime VG10

1937 D Merc Dime FSB MS 65

1937 D Merc Dime FSB MS 65

1936 D Merc Dime FSB MS 64

1931 D Merc Dime MS 63

1916 D Merc Dime AG

1916 D Merc Dime AG

1916 D Merc Dime G

I know that some aren't worth all that much, but I like them anyway. Some of those dimes I am particulary interested to see how they grade. I will post the results when they come back in 2-3 weeks. It will be interesting to see how my grading stacks up!

PS. I found the three 1916 D Mercs and some others in a bunch of silver coins that my Grandfather buried in about 1939.
