MCP you're cool as far as I'm concerned, as with 99.99% of the other folks on here...

I'd like to think that folks perceive my jesting as simply only that... jesting around and nothing else.

Very weird thread. Glad I'm not involved here! Some of this banter seems a bit harsh.

Well not surprising. Just about anywhere you go you have at least one person (child) that feels compelled to attack an individual who started a simple thread asking for peoples experiences. Oh well, what can you do. :rolling:

    Too bad.

I have been on various forums for many years. In the old days the rules were clear. Attackers got suspended or banned.
In a way I'm glad things have lightened up a bit. And I think the members do a good job of calling out or policing inappropriate posts.

I agree we all can get along and police ourselves without the mods getting involved.I''m glad it seems to have stopped & we can get back to Posting our collections again.:hail:

Bottom line!! Iam here to share my interests with fellow collectors and have
Fun, The rude comments, insults and other behaviors in which are not
Consistent with a 1950,s family show should be held accountable!!

Lets face it guys we all have different opinions, If we had the same it
Wouldnt be any fun but with that said it,s still not an excuse to put
Someone down, Good rule of thumb treat people the way you wish
    To be treated :)

I agree. Of course we all have different opinions. I'm talking about the posters that seem to go out of their way to talk down and insult. I also agree that instead of having the moderator ban or suspend them, we all should make it clear that this is unacceptable behavior. Of course this will most likely be futile, since people are what they are...Just arn't happy unless they make others unhappy!

I admittedly have two shortcomings (at least...lol). Dishonest sellers/dealers and posters that habitually conduct personal attacks.

I have been posting on here for many many years..and was subject to ridicule by several folks (yes even by you Payton). All I have ever tried to do here was to be honest and give a little to the currency community. This is one reason I have stopped posting as much in this forum.I would also like to say that every note that I have posted is mine and I can easily prove this......no false pretenses here!

It is human nature to disagree and to have various opinions, however, to ridicule, insult or put down another here is uncalled for. After having been attacked before, I let it get the better of me and stepped down to the level of the attacker..said some things I am not proud of, however, thats the Marine in me...

I just hope everyone can get along and let's get back to what we all like, Paper Money.

Here's a nice :smile for you too Rusty. You DO deserve a smile because you have a collection of gorgeous notes that serves to educate and wow us all! MPC notes are not my thing, but I sure do admire your tastes in them and have noted aspects about your personal notes that I really enjoyed learning about. I have no problem congratulating you on your collection nor for any other person who shares their collections with the forum.

Regarding the OP: 'Bottom line' here is that you posted a rant about the USPS and it was unwarranted. You were challenged on your rant but you refused to see that you may have caused your own pains. Contrary to other recent comments here, you did not post to solicit anything of any benefit to anyone, nor to share you interests, lest they were to defame the USPS. It was a rambling, self-serving rant, period.

You posted your rant in the Paper Money forum rather than the General Discussion forum. Your OP had nothing to do with sharing your collection and interests but rather for venting your frustration at something you could have taken steps to prevent. Based on your experience, you had no reason to publicly complain about the service you received, not given the scenario you initiated the thread with. Your OP had everything to do with bad mouthing the USPS and had you the patience enough to wait for your parcel to arrive the following day you might have been relieved that the note you mailed reached the destination... or the note you bought was now in your possession. In turn, you could have posted the note to share your true interests. To this point, all the way back to my original comment to you, you still haven't indicated if you were the seller or the buyer, sender or receiver. Obviously, it didn't and still doesn't matter to you as you and your bandwagon have gone in every direction to misconstrue my original criticism of your complaint.

Insults, none present nor were any ever intended. Why do you think the thread is still alive? This is not about insulting one another, but figuring out your problem with the USPS and perhaps avoiding it in the future. You began the thread with intent but as soon as you were challenged you went on the defense instead of admitting any fault of your own or clarifying your reasoning. Rude comments? Well that's subjective at best and only for a moderator to determine. Not you, not me nor the audience. The further this thread gets from you addressing the criticism of your original point, the less we gain any resolution hence my declaration of your OP being pointless.

Rusty, please re-evaluate your original post in this thread rather than pandering to the gawkers that came along to stir the poo. I'm sure they are all fine folks in their own right but have nothing much to say beside trying to provoke a spat, especially the newer members who are speaking of us with so little time invested here to date. Straighten out the original scenario you sort of bungled by your wording of the OP as it did little to inform your point of frustration nor buy much sympathy to that situation. I'm not here for anything other than to learn from each other about a mutual topic and related concerns. However, you view my challenges as a war against you which are wholly misinterpreted. You wonder why I implore you with questions and challenge your off the cuff replies to scores and scores of threads which you demonstate little personal insights about for someone with so much dealer based knowledge in numismatics. That's because I take it you are much more well versed in these topics and I'd only expect the best most well informed replies from you, as opposed to another two-worded "nice coin" type comment punctuated by a smiley icon... of which all forums are overflowing with.

Keep on posting your notes (and coins too) and please don't read my bluntness and criticism as an attempt to throw you under a bus. Far from it just as I'm far from the only one who has challenged you on your threads, especially when it comes to debate over TPG issues that you like to poll and hash about. All my best to you Rusty.

I concur and try to maintain discussion of the OP rather than get lost in other aspects that derail threads. No one is perfect and we all need each other to make this place happen. :)

Oh my. Well there's one vote in favor of "it's ok to attack members and go on ridiculous rants." So you would consider Krisp's last couple of posts pointed at MPcusa as ok and proper decorum?

It is not for me or you to judge what has been said. If MPCUSA has a problem with what Krispy wrote, let them address it. Last I recall, neither you, me nor anyone else in this Thread is a Moderator at this site.

Why not post some notes and start a positive conversation?

Well (Chris) Krispy, I dont know that i need to re-evaluate my posting. i was
Simply making a cut and dry statement about first class and priority mail
And the costs!, I want to be friends but i feel that your following me from post
To post trying to make me look bad and if that,s what you want to do ok!

If you dont agree with something i have to say thats fine to, Healthy discussion
Rather then the thread bashing i think is best for everybody :)
