Could not resist this 1948s Rosie, as it has, in my view, exceptional reverse toning. The “sunrise look” is appealing to me. It isn’t the highest grade around (PCGS 65), nor is the obverse have toning as clean as the reverse. But wow, I love the fireball on the reverse. PCGS seemed to agree, as it mounted the reverse on the front of the slab.

Since the OP's image looks like it's a small file size (and as a result a bit blurry) here are the TrueViews from the PCGS Cert Verification page:

(Hope that's all right - just felt like I was going to enjoy the coin more if I could see what it looked like a bit better!)

Thanks. I did a reduced image size. Appreciate it.

It looks as it was left in a place that was in sunlight for a very long time.

    Probably album toning.

Not a toning that I can appreciate. Having a mild case of OCD, I just want to wipe that coin to remove that surface crud, but maybe it's just me.

I never said the obverse toning was attractive. The reverse is what makes it special.

That is one amazing reverse, and I am not a fan of toned coins, but dang that one is pretty awesome!
