    Fire damaged silver: the pictures

    Good afternoon, troops...

A small selection, representative of many others...these are the 'before' shots. There will be a careful attempt, through the use of several processes suggested , linked to, and otherwise having been brought to my attention in this forum, to remove the crud you see on these coins. After whatever success or failure I enjoy, you will be offered similar pics of the results, along with my musings about what worked, what didn't, and what (if anything) I have learned that might be of value to CoinTalk.

Intermediate posts may be desirable, particularly if: 1) I succeed beyond hope or reason, especially early in the process, or 2) I sustain injury, or reduce my shop to ashes, or some other calamity forces a halt to my effort, or 3) my 95 YO Dad falls again, or otherwise requires my presence 1400 miles distant from here.

    Thank you for your encouragement...Onward!

Good luck. Your learning experience would be good to know as future reference!
