After months collecting, I finally got around to collecting all the emperors from the who ruled during the tumultuous year of 69 AD. Starting off in chronological order with an Egyptian Tetradrachm of Galba: Obverse: Laureate bust of Galba right Reverse: Draped bust of Alexandria right 24mm, 9.6gm Next in line, we have a denarius of Otho: This is one I decided to take a risk on going outside of my usual sellers as the coins of Otho are quite hard to come by in comparison to the rest. I believe this one may be RIC 10. I'd appreciate any help in authenticating this one. Obverse: Bust of Otho right Reverse: Securitas standing left 18mm, 3.28gm The third in line is a Vitellius AS: Obverse: Laureate bust of Vitellius left Reverse: Libertas standing left holding pileus and vindicta 27mm, 7.7gm The last on the list is a denarius of Vespasian. His coins are the most plentiful of the bunch and is the most quality one I have out of the 4: Obverse: Laureate bust of Vespasian right Reverse: Salus seated, holding patera 19mm, 3.47g I hope to eventually collect all of the emperors one day, but I know for sure that the last few like Pertinax and Pupienus are going to be an even bigger challenge.
Congrats! Just started collecting the Twelve Caesars this year, so far I have Augustus and Caligula. Been trying to get the more rare emperors out of the way before getting to the more common ones.
