Been a long time in the making. My set is the classic 97, plus 9.

    Those extra 9 are:
    78 Reverse of 79
    79 CC Capped Die
    79 S Reverse of 78
    80 CC Reverse of 78
    80/9 S
    82 O/S
    99 Micro O
    00 O/CC
    03 Micro S

The 93 S just came into today. I sold off some extras/duplicates including a 1921 Peace Dollar graded MS63 (for a ridiculous amount imo). I love the handsome look of honest, well worn Morgans. I didnt think I would go as low as a G06. But this one was very pleasing to me, and CAC agreed.

I love it. Circulated Morgan's are awesome. I dislike the XF range coins.

Love it. It looks just like most of the coins in my set.
    Congratulations.

The list. I collected most of the coins in ICG holders many, many years ago. They were the most logical TPG for me to send them to.

    Congrats!!!

How long did the set take? One of my dreams is a complete Morgan set.

Well, it’s a complicated answer. I am 45. I grew up tagging along with my dad to some really dusty and smokey coin shops. Usually I was sifting through junk penny cans. He would purchase on occasional Morgan here and there and would always let me “help”. I took several decades off while I focused on life, family, and career. Roughly a third of the coins are “originals” we bought 30-40 years ago. Then about 5 years ago I dove head first into finishing this set. I have a few marked that I would still like to change/upgrade.

I'll bet the first from the list to upgrade is that '78 REV of '79.;)

That one is low hanging fruit...

Hey, congratulations! Having done that before, I know what an incredible achievement it is! The Morgan series is one of the hardest because of those key dates, and conditional rarities. Bravo on a job well done!

Yeah, that one is interesting for only a AU58. It is one of my originals from 30 years ago. A slider in the olden days, but marked as BU. I dont upgrade it because it’s actually very pretty with original skin and slight golden peripheral toning. The mark by her nose/mouth is really not noticeable to the naked eye.

I check the morgan display periodically at my LCS. I just scan it for circulated examples with eye appeal. I wont pay more than 200 for any Morgan but I have a few lower grade examples that I really like. The year doesn't matter..mint doesn't matter. I collect them differently than anything else. I actually like your G example more than any BU.

Gratz! Nice score.. I been looking at quite a few 93s myself recently... the big choice at this point for me is a g6 (not anywhere near as nice as yours) or a very pretty AU details graffiti "w" on face (or similar au details coin there are several in this catagory)... still a month or 2 away I fear but after that the rest of my date set should fill right in with the 2 badboys filled :D
