finish on half

    Yeah it was hard to capture with photo but the center is very shiny and slightly recessed in the middle compared to outer parts of the coin

    From the pic it looks like the field area of the die received a polishing before minting that coin.

    If you look above the god you can see the recession

    possibly struck thru a thin layer of grease..

    Think it's a reasonable add to the collection? Or should I just roll it back up.

    I'd look for a better one regardless of what the reverse looks like.

    Looks greasy or flakey. Would vinegar and hydrogen peroxide do that.

    In the pile of half's I got it was the only one that looked like this. So can you blame me for asking?
