fingerprint from the past?

Hey guys i was just thinking,do you think theres any chance that a coin with a fingerprint on it could be from when it was circulating like a 100 years ago?imagine how cool that would be

I've thought about that. The thought also crossed my mind that perhaps some specimens may have remnants of past diseases too...

yeah or get the Spanish Lady from a wheatie that was metal detected from permafrost in Alaska...

 

I suppose it's possible. And, you could potentially recover DNA from the fingerprint, or other material on a coin. We could clone some famous dude from a coin!
