fingerprint from the past?

  1. Hey guys i was just thinking,do you think theres any chance that a coin with a fingerprint on it could be from when it was circulating like a 100 years ago?imagine how cool that would be:cool:

    I've thought about that. The thought also crossed my mind that perhaps some specimens may have remnants of past diseases too...

    yeah or get the Spanish Lady from a wheatie that was metal detected from permafrost in Alaska...

    I suppose it's possible. And, you could potentially recover DNA from the fingerprint, or other material on a coin. We could clone some famous dude from a coin!

    Most folks didn't take regular baths or showers during Colonial times... now you guys are grossing me out!

    Ok then, catch some medieval athlete's foot from a coin dug up in the English countryside... no amount of Lamisil or Lotrimin will solve that!!! :eek:
