Find any proof coins in circulation?

Just two days ago, I went to a store to get $2 in quarters. SEVEN of the eight were clad proofs in nearly pristine condition (from the state quarters series). And the cashier had several more in his drawer. I've kept them so far.

Over that last two years, I've found about 14 proof nickels ranging from 1964 to 2005

 

Incredibly, I have never encountered a proof coin in circulation. It never ceases to amaze me how many people do.

I've found a Roosevelt dime and a 40% JFK half proof in circulation.

 

I get them pretty regular every two or three years.

I'd guess about 20% have circulation damage but most of them were culls.

 

I've pulled a proof Millard Fillmore prez dollar and a 1973-S proof Eisenhower (clad) from circulation.
