Okay... Got a 2009 Log Cabin and Formative Years/Log Splitter/Rail Splitter/Early Youth penny, both D's
I second that, counting drawers during the day and deposits at night yielded me many nice finds over the years. Not that I was looking or anything.
Had to go pick up a prescription today and as usual I looked in the reject tray of the coin counting machine. I typically find beat up change or Canadian change. Today I got a decent 1964 silver dime and a 1942 wheatie :hail:
I found a 1920 canadian penny in the change i got from the store today. not worth much but it was fun finding it!! Pretty good shape too.
I had a really good day, cracked open a roll at my store and I find: 1916 Penny 2 1926 Pennies 1960 Penny looks proof like 2 1968 Pennies that also have a mirror proof like look Looks like someone cashed in their grandpas coin collection Then I had some bad news at work, I mistook a 20$ bill to be a 100$ because of the customers sleight of hand, and now I'm getting written up because my store was 80$ short :desk:
Today I got a 1989 Canadian dime (no biggie, just something different) and, a 1939(p) Jefferson Nickel. I'd say it is in VF or EF, but I'm not good at grading.
My lifetime of "good" finds. All the nickles and halves were from Vegas (back when you carried around buckets of coins). Strangely, half of my quarters are 1936.
Got excited today! Find a dime, thought it said 1960 D, looked at the edge, and everything checked out okay there too! Upon magnification... CLAD and 1969 D! URGGGGGG! The 9 was worn down, looked like a O, and the edge looked like a silver edge as well, but with magnification you can barely see the copper nickel edge. Well maybe next time.
I don't collect the State or Territories Quarters but I FINALLY found my first Puerto Rico 2009-P in circulation today. It was received in change from a transaction locally here in Brooklyn, NY. Even though I don't collect them, especially from circulation, it's always nice to realise your first of a given date or design.
Found a canadian nickel (with a beaver on it), a dutch nickel and a Mexican cinco centavo. Fun finds.....
In the same vain~a local Mom & Pop Shop keep and eye out for wheaties for me. They provided me with this in my change yesterday.

2 weeks ago I received a 1926-S Buffalo Nickel from a BART (San Francisco/Bay Area Transit) change machine. AG-3 condition. Clear mint mark, no horn, just 26 with weak 2 appearing on date. My local post office used to have a change machine that gave out pennies. Several years ago, I bought a 37 cent stamp with 2 dimes. Got 3 wheaties back. 1955-S, 1945-P and 1942-D. Ended up buying more stamps getting more wheaties back. The machine is long gone, but I remember what fun it was getting wheaties in change. The best one I got was 1 1913-S in VG-10.
From the bottom of my girlfriend's purse came a 1944 penny, a 1955-D penny, a 1987 Canadian penny, and five formative year pennies. She gets around and my collection gets bigger!
A couple days ago while paying for my lunch at work I recieved 3 nice Peurto Rico P quarters as change. They came out of a new bank roll. The cashier said they just got them from the bank, so I am fairly sure there are uncirculated; as they look fantastic!
