Finally got a coin I've had my eyes on for two years, but it's bittersweet...

    I'm honestly surprised it waited for me as long as it did. I know there were a few people watching it and when I submitted my offer eBay showed other offers pending as well.

    It was not. I was pleasantly surprised when I hunted down a scan of the Coin Galleries provenance referenced by CNG and the eBay description. CNG didn't mention it in the description but the coin galleries sale from 1986 said the coin was from the Knobloch sale and sure enough while there was no image of it the description lines up, making it my first ex-Knobloch coin:
