Yup, they received my French 10-franc coin and British crown on Feb 25. They still haven’t released the images though. Guess I should be happy they crossed. Both coins had been graded MS64 by NGC. I crossed them because the few other coins I own in the two series are all PCGS. The crown has a portrait of Queen Victoria on the obverse. The design is called the old veiled bust and is by Thomas Brock. Reverse has Benedetto Pistrucci’s famous image of St. George killing the dragon. There is LX on the edge indicating Victoria had been on the throne for 60 years. Other major variety has LIX on the edge. The 10-franc coin obverse has a portrait of Marianne, who has a symbolic roll for the French similar to that of Miss Liberty for the U.S. The obverse and reverse designs are by Jules-Clement Chaplin. Enjoy! Cal
