If only I could reach through my phone and slap that man, I would have a raspberry colored hand.

You know all the proceeds go into the US Treasury?

Still waiting to hear exactly what "all the proceeds" means in terms of the agreement between the Mint(s) and SB.

It's already not the last, because they're still minting them for uncirculated and proof sets next year, and probably for a few more years after that.

Can't even claim "last made for circulation" because these weren't made to circulate.

For me, nothing makes me want to collect something less, than it being made specifically to collect. Feels too artificial.

Not that I'd ever be able to realistically afford these anyway lol, but even if I had that kind of money, there's other things I would rather spend it on.

Somewhere out there is the actual last made for circulation Lincoln cent. Unless the mint pulls another rabbit out of their hat, forever unknown.

And whoever owns it paid exactly 1 cent for it... so why, even if I could afford to, would I want to buy any of these things lol.

Maybe in 100 years somebody will make a big deal about having one in their collection, but I won't be around to see that, so... irrelevant to me.

I can't believe that mint officials were this dumb. It's sort of like they are teasing us with their borish behavior. They can take those cents and stuff them where the sun does not shine.
