The lights are probably LED so even a very small battery should last a long time. Is there a switch or is it always flashing?

I knew I read it somewhere and had to search through the page to find it...

"What makes these coins unique is that they actually have lights inside them. When you press the coin, parts of the hero design light up.

The button is located on the obverse..."

This is the numismatic equivalent of the Scary Movie series.

Yeah but the Scary Movie series wasnt scary. The scary thing is the younger generation knows more superheros than they do the names of people on money currently.

Different subject but not a new idea. Many years ago one of those countries had a series of coins with cars on them where the headlights lit up.

I was referring to the series as a completely bonkers, over-the-top parody of the original subjects. Which is what these coins are, an over-the-top parody of numismatics. :D

Palau puts out some interesting coins. I almost bought one of these:

Makes me want to walk into a bar in Palau and plunk one of those down for a beer. :)
