well I think the cheap kind are slowing down in sales, but ones that have lights and ones made from metal that are in the $50.00 range are staying around. I bought a lighted clear plastic 1 on Ebay for $7.00 last night.
I would disagree on the sales dropping anytime soon. when we all noticed them in stores and that's when it went crazy in popularity. then Ebay had 480,000+ auctions and today it has 780,000+ auctions. they had a solid gold 1 on Ebay. I must have spent an hour and a 1/2 watching U-Tube videos on people making their own fidget spinners. some crap and some high tech machining that was fun to watch.
And let's not forget these cases: United States of America v. $124,700 in U.S. Currency, 05-3295 (8th Cir. 2006), United States v. Approximately 64,695 Pounds of Shark Fins (520 F3d. 976)
By the way.. This is my fidget spinner with gears that spin! I purchased this spinner sometime last year before the craze started. It was new and people were just learning about it. Do you like it?
It is supposed to be a gadget that you spin to relieve stress... It has not been proven to do so. They come in many forms, colors and even with lights. Kids have been injured due to swallowing of small detachable parts. They were priced at $10.00 each when first introduced but now you can get one for $1.00 Billions were made in China as copies of the original spinners.
Hhm! Never heard of them. Don't quite see how it would reduce stress. Seems like it would produce stress in the thumb joint if nothing else.
I will be saving up for this 1 called "ferris wheel" spinner. it comes with a desk stand and has a free spin time of 3.48 minutes. I like the design of it. $57.00 video link:
it is actual for kids with autism. it helps them focus better. me I just enjoy spinning it, watching it spin, hearing it spin. hopefully you get 1 with good bearings. I also like the feeling you get once it's spinning and you just hold it and turn it different angles for a weird gyro feeling in your hand.
I've read reports that some of the lighted and/or bluetooth ones have caught on fire when charging. Be careful!!!
