When I saw it in the auction catalog, I had about as much restraint as Postumus's troops at the siege of Mogontiacum who had wanted to plunder Laelianus's city after it fell, and who then killed their boss when he refused to allow it. I also imagine them feeling a little guilty after the fact, but not so much that they didn't still enjoy the jingle of some new coins in their purses.
