In all and all my years collecting I have always wanted one of these friends I know it's a trivial thing. But I think these are unique piece of History that I've ever seen. I want one these are cool . The possibility to hold a unique piece of History like this comes by very few times. I like collecting stuff like this it's neat [edited]
A few years ago maybe like 8 or 9 years ago I had the opportunity to purchase one and I was too busy trying to buy a gold coin and I opted for the gold coin which I ended up losing during a issues with my now exwife
I'm into the 1950D Jefferson in MS or UA condition. What you have is exceptional, thanks for the look see.
The same guy who created the initial FSNC SEGS holdered strikes back in 2002. Ron Landis. I was fortunate to get an original pair off Ebay recently. See below: Actually, the coins composition are as follows: Top Left - silver proof Top Right - copper proof (test coin for the gold strikes) Bottom Left - silver matte Bottom Right - nickel planchet, same composition at the SEGS FSNC-02 above. Hope that helps. Z
The copper proof planchet was used as a set up piece for the gold. I really wanted one of the gold strikes, but could not afford it at the time. I was saving up, watching the total minted to get close to the maximum of 40 strikes, but the maker stopped at 17 total. The copper proof planchets were the first three strikes off of these dies, so they preceded the 17 gold minted. Only three (3) copper strikes were made. Here is the information on the gold. Z
Z thank you...made my day on cointalk..nicer than any currently minted coins or the original...Insanely...Amazing
Saw one or two raw from a seller on eBay a few months ago for about $200 ea...talked with him and seemed legit, etc...but had absolutely no paperwork of any kind so I passed.
I tried talking Ron Landis into creating something like this . . . . . . a custom overstrike of the 1993 Jefferson Dollar. Now THIS would be waaay cool . . . . . Ron, are you listening? You got the idea from me, remember? I want two (2) minimum, maybe four (4). I'll even send you the Jefferson Dollars and pay you for your time . . . . . Z
Just when I thought that was all....wait! ...look at these...ZOID!!... more Insanely...Amazing stuff...
