You're the FedEx employee and apparently know what is going on? Well, let me tell you what is going on. I made out a police report today(they told me not to do anything(including talking to pawn shops and local dealers.) The package was insured for 100 dollars, not 25. As of this afternoon the FedEx driver was not fired because I was told he was on the road when I filed a complaint about this. You can assume all you want but the reality of the situation is this was a signature required package and was(according to the tracking info) left at the front door of a 200 unit apartment complex. Well, now i'm doing what I have to do!!!

Sorry to all of you that are here to help for the above comment. I'm an honest, polite, and very compassionate person. But the above the assumption that there was part of this story that "is too good too be true" is way out of line. I'm here on a foram trying to ask for help and eveyone was supportive until.......of all people.........a FedEx employee accused me of a scam. It was this comment that set in motion a chain of doubt that made me a suspect in a scam that I apparently decided to orchastrate, post on a message board and look for sympathy.

Anyway, here is what going on. Again, the police took my report(I gave them pictures of all the coins from the heritage lots.) They were not clear about what they were going to do but said it would be assigned to a detective that would be handling my case. I was told to do nothing in the mean time. "Don't be your own detective. We will handle it." As far as Heritage goes, I called them and they are still working on it. This sounds like a generic answer but they can't just shell out a check without doing an investigation. I think they are being reasonable. If they are not, they and FedEx will end up in court. Thanks to all of you and I will keep you posted. I have a good feeling that the offender will be caught now that the lots have been disclosed to the police who will be looking at dealers, coin shops and online auction houses. Finally, I thought this was a peaceful place to talk about coins. A few bad apples seem to have temporarily made me into something i'm not
