Can anyone explain to me where is the FBL suppose to be on the reverse of the Franklin Half ? Where am I suppose to look at for the lines that is full ?
This should help.... http://www.caccoin.com/reference-sets/franklin-half-dollar-reference-set/ Also, PCGS only considers the bottom lines while NGC considers both the bottom and the second set just above them.
Yes, and those above as well (as explained above), but is a little more complicated than just being "clear"...they need to be complete and unbroken. If you take the time to go through the link, clicking on and closely examining the photos, you should get a pretty good understanding of what is and isn't.
I did look at them and alot of them don't look clear lines and that is why I ask the question. Thanks for your help
The link shows a progression of examples from non-FBL to near-FBL to full-FBL, so not all would he "clear". Anyway, here's another link you may find helpful... https://www.davidlawrence.com/books/the-complete-guide-to-franklin-half-dollars/
The TPGs make the calls on these differently. Look at the top set of lines. Look just left of the crack in the bell running through them. That is the soft spot on all these. When those lines in that soft spot are defined, you usually have a winner.
