This coin has the most dramatic toning I have ever seen on a regular issue Jefferson Nickel. The grade and strike are equally as impressive as the toning. Finding an attractively toned Lafayette Dollar is and arduous task. Most have mottled dark toning that mutes the luster of the coin. This example from the Maddy Rae collection has found a good home in my collection.
