AGREED! WHY did they drop the Flying Eagle? One of the more gorgeous series in US coinage...

Especially since they both had the same designer...

I wish the FE cent lasted 15+ years so I could make a decent collection of them.

Right now it's 1883-O Morgan Dollars by the VAM. My avatar is one of my favorites, a VAM-2.

Favorite has to be Morgan's since I have about 100 of them...next is the Peace Dollar series, then it's get's very grey, very fast...WLH's, Merc's, Busties, British coins with Victoria, proof ASE's, blah, blah, blah....

Let's put it this way, it's easier for me to say which series I don't like than ones that I do.

MS Walkers and Buffs, toned MS Jeffersons, classic commemoratives.

    All of 'em!

I like all U.S. coins. :) I like classic commemoratives the best though.

I have a nice hoard of Barbers, but haven't been able to upgrade anything in ages.

    Still looking.

Serious striking problems made the FE cent as it was designed impractical. Areas of high relief were opposite each other, often causing incomplete detailing in the Eagle's head and tail feathers. I wish they would have tried to modify it instead of abandoning it altogether-in my opinion it's the best cent design by a mile.

Early US coppers and anything proof prior to 1936. But I'll buy just about anything that is interesting for the right price.

Those early proofs are nice . I wouldn't mind a '36 Harley Knuckle head either . I've been looking for one to rebuild but they're getting rarer then hens teeth .

Trade dollars and flowing hair/bust dollars. Also love any flowing hair/draped bust coins as well as seated dollars

Too many to choose from - and they vary over time... but at this nanosecond in the space-time continuum my favorites include:

Japanese Meiji-era Dragon coins. Everything from the 一円 to the tiny 五銭:

    Mexican Cap & Ray Pesos:

Anything from the late Edward VI era, especially the shillings:

And on and on and on and on...

Cool. I've heard some gripes before about barbers but they are strong, classic looking coins. It's hard to find xf and higher ones, or I mean the prices are steep here, but they sure are beauties with luster
