Got this last week: https://cngcoins.com/Coin.aspx?CoinID=369965 80% of the coin for 20% of the price, I consider it good deal.
If the coin didn't have a break you could expect to pay about 2K plus for a quality strike. Here's some of CNG sold archives.. https://www.cngcoins.com/Search.asp...R_TYPE_ID_2=1&SEARCH_IN_CONTAINER_TYPE_ID_4=1
Here's a new one I just got in the mail. Most of the important iconography is intact, and I don't think it would be possible to find one in the same condition with as nice an inscription at anywhere near the price I got this one for. Maybe I'll change my mind about it later, but I right now I think it was a pretty good purchase. Vespasian Denarius, minted at Rome 69-70 AD. 17mm, 2.97g, RIC II 2. Obverse: IMP CAESAR VESPASIANVS AVG, laureate bust right Reverse: IVDAEA, Judaea seated right, head resting in hand, trophy to the left
Looks great to me @SeptimusT - and an interesting start to the Flavian dynasty. First Nero committed a cowardly suicide after being condemned by the senate. Several fought for power, Otho murdered Galba, Vitellius drove Otho to suicide and Vitellius was murdered, clearing the way for Vespasian to take over with military support. What better way for an upstart to secure his position and that of his sons than to build up the story of restoring order in a small and insignificant border territory....I mean subduing IUDAEA a great enemy of Rome!
This king wore a crown with wings and a little bull-head decoration on top.
