I don't know why the we change the spelling of the man's name for USA English :rollling: I guess it's no different than when we changed the names of Europen cities (like Milano to Milan & Wein to Vienna etc). With city names (and other geographical names) that is pretty common, and it even says something about the relevance of a place. Wien was/is an important city for many, so it's Vienna in English, Wenen in Dutch, Bécs in Hungarian, etc. Why this is also (sometimes) done with the names of kings written in the same script, I don't know ...
