With a couple of coins underway , this is my list sofar. Especially anxious to receive a AE Sicily Akragas with 2 screaming eagles on top of their prey
Excellent coins @Andres2 ! Except for Carlos, everyone fall into my focus! They all look great, and congrats! The problem is that showing Carlos gets me to start looking at THAT History, then begin spending cash in non-focus areas.
Outstanding (and they are mild). You have to be old enough to remember the Camel cigarette commercials
Thanks for all your kind words , I didn't show you any favourite currency paper or more modern stuff, except for the Carlos 1805 pillar dollar. And because Mat , Mikey and especially Alegandron like it, I'll show you another pillar 1736, which sat on the seabed for 250 years. Bought it 6 months ago. Alegandron please google pillar dollar and read about the important role it played in the history of the early financial system in America
Looks like someone has a thing for big coins . Honestly, wonderful selection... it looks like you had a great collecting year!
Holy-Moly ... all of those babies are total winners!! => congrats on an amazing 2016 haul!! (wow!!) Ummm, I like the elephant coin and the elephant head-dress coin ... ummm, but I also like the Syracuse coin ... hmmm, I like 'em all!! I'm totally jealous of your sweet coins cheers to you, my coin-friend (total winners)
Mat's favorites are also mine: your M.Aurelius sestertius and the Spanish Colonial pieces attract me the most. That 1736 Mexico City Dos Mundos looks really nice, with a very distinct floriate edge. I love that design, and consider it to be one of the most appealing coin designs of all time.
Wowie, I don't think I can pick a favorite from your group, Andres! The Seleukos elephant biga and Ptolemy I satrapal tet are definitely up there though. What a fantastic year you had!
