Hi folks, would anyone be able to help me attribute this Faustina Senior coin to an RIC number, I recently won this at auction and curious as to whether it's a rare type or not, many thanks if you can help!

That's a nice coin, with an appealing patina. It was issued in AD 150/51 as part of a massive series of coins to mark the 10th anniversary of the empress' death. You may read more about this issue, as well as about Aeternitas specifically, in this old thread.

Here's the example in my collection:

Faustina Sr AETERNITAS Aeternitas standing sestertius.jpg
    Faustina I, AD 138-140.
    Roman orichalcum sestertius, 22.40 g, 32.6 mm, 4 h.
    Rome, AD 150/1.
Obv: DIVA FAVSTINA, bare-headed and draped bust, right.
Rev: AETERNITAS S C, Aeternitas, draped, standing left, holding phoenix on globe (nimbate right) on right hand and with left hand holding out fold of skirt.
    Refs: RIC 1105a; BMCRE 1490, 1493; Cohen 12; RCV 4607.

No. That's Vesta holding a palladium and scepter.

This was my first sestertius. I fell in love with its smooth black patina and it resulted in a lifelong Faustina fascination!

I like these coins - I've got two of them - well-worn, but nice patinas.
