    Dear All,

    Bought a bunch of new coins, looks like I am addicted :))
    Anyway finally arrived today, I am a happy man.

    Macrinus
    Tetradrachm of CYRRHUS in Cyrrhestica, Syria. Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust r. Rv. Eagle standing, head r. with wreath in beak, on filleted thyrsus. Prieur 917

    and I already had his son from the same place.
    Diadumenian AR Tetradrachm of Cyrrhus in Cyrrhestica, Syria. AD 217-218. AYT K M ΟΠΕ ANTΩNEINOC, radiate and cuirassed bust to right seen from behind / ΔHMAPXEΞ YΠATOC, eagle seen from front with spread wings and head to left, standing on filleted thyros. Prieur 923

    Terrific coin!!!!-------I have grown to love the Provincials more and more as time passes and I 'see' all of the varieties---especially those large bronzes or TETS!!! My coin of the 'son' is a small bronze and I'll try to post it later..

    Macrinus and Diadumenian have a surprisingly large number of coins considering the brief reign.

    nice indeed cy, that macrinus is especially cool.

    i don't have a macrinus....he's on my list.
    i only have this poor diadumenian provincial ....
