I read about these hear but can't find any information on fanam melt value. Are they a good investment for the money?
They are not. Too many fakes. The prices are a tad high, but their are some numismatic value. The fakes are just really good, and no one cares enough about them to actually know enough about them (at least from my knowledge, maybe someone can lead you to someone very well advanced in these?) I do plan to buy a few myself, but that is strictly because of mytholgy reasons. For the melt value, you need to know the weight. I am not too sure how to find out the purity of them, but I know the later Staters of Gajeyadeva are very low in gold (just enough to give them their color). stainless
