Fake or real?

    Unfortunately, there are also auction houses that sell fakes even when you let them know they're fake. This Baletium tetrobol was sold by Lansky recently for 8000 euro and it was a definite fake. I let the auction house know, but they still proceeded with the sale. As with the Lanz Marc Antony denarii, the strike was too sharp and the die style was off from the original coin.

    This would have been an exceptionally rare coin if it were real; there are only a handful known from this exceedingly rare South Italian mint.
