I'm thinking JA has the right of it. I too believe it is Fortuna, and, if so, the ID should be:
Gordian III AE Sestertius, RIC 331a, Cohen 99
Laureate and draped bust right / Fortuna seated left, holding rudder and cornucopiae

BTW, if the "tater" you mention is Tater the Cat, I've bought coins from him in the past w/o problem.

Tater is "taterthecat" - a guy on eBay who sells a lot of low-end ancients, but I've never seen a fake among his stuff. He's been on eBay for a while, and he runs a lot of true auctions: 99-cent opening bids, no reserve. He's a well-known go-to-guy for us budget collectors.

Oh ok. I just was saying that for all I know the guy at the coin store was lying that it was from him. Anyway I put up better pictures.

Another question I have is how heavy should it be? Any objects it could compare to?

After looking at that I realized just how much it looked like it, and I can see where some things are worn on my coin. for example the place where the person is holding onto what is in his right hand.

The coin is authentic - just honest wear, original patina, a little encrustation. A nice example in F. It's fun to hold these ancient rocks in your hand.
