Hi I found a dime with no face printed on the head. It also has copper showing through. It's hard to read the last number on the date but it looks like 1984. Does anyone know if this is worth anything or rare?

Can you give us a better close-up of the obverse, please?

Sorry, but those aren't good enough. Did you try cropping out the extraneous background and then resizing the image? When you upload the image, be sure to select "Full Image". The Thumbnail sucks! I don't know why CT keeps it.

Your Dime is Post Mint Damage.. Not a Mint Error
Someone grinded the Obverse enough to show the Copper underneath the Clad Layer

Yep! Thanks, Paddy! I'm just trying to get these kids into the habit of posting better photos and using the "Full Image" option.

Nah! Causing a ball to jump so that it jumps another ball is more fun. Or, how about slamming a bank in the side pocket so that the cue ball runs straight down the long rail and pockets another ball in the corner!

That is worth 10 cents, providing the vending machine would accept it.

You need to show a picture. There is a Type 1 Blank with no upraised rim and a Type 2 Planchet with upraised rim... Or Damaged by scraping/grinding both sides away. That's why you need to show a picture.

    Coins are struck/minted.. not printed.

Fun with acid, dryer coin, or some grinder.
Coins like these I take to my credit union at the end of the year (metal detecting destroyed cents and bent out of shape quarters) and they credit my account. I asked if they can send coins back they way they do with old destroyed paper money and they said they would take my mutilated coins.
My GF dug up a bent up clad quarter and refuses to part with it.
She likes weird stuff. Insert joke here.
