Extra Depression marks over letters MG 1962 Canada Cent

Discussion in 'Error Coins' started by Dave from the country, Jun 10, 2021.

  1. Hello,
I was looking at this 1962 hanging 2 Canadian cent with a very slightly doubled 6 on the reverse when I flipped the coin over and glanced at Mary Gillick's initials to see if they were there and saw markings I have never seen before on any similar coin. My first thought was it has something to do with denticles, but that doesn't fit. I have no idea what they may be and what might have caused them, Has anyone seen these before or anything similar. Those are the best photos I can take with my WIN_20210610_12_04_02_Pro.jpg WIN_20210610_12_04_18_Pro.jpg WIN_20210610_12_06_28_Pro.jpg WIN_20210610_11_57_31_Pro.jpg WIN_20210610_12_05_08_Pro.jpg WIN_20210610_12_05_17_Pro.jpg WIN_20210610_12_05_42_Pro.jpg WIN_20210610_12_05_52_Pro.jpg limited equipment. Any suggestions or comments would be very much appreciated. Thank you. Dave

Kind of like where a reeded edge rolled over it or hit it.
