Here's a medal from the 1915-16 Panama Pacific International Expo in San Francisco and San Diego. This medal is a later on done for San Diego 1916. Sold it awhile back.
Here's a couple more, this time coins and a token. Gold one dollar and the half dollar from the 1915 Panama Pacific International Expo in San Francisco! There's a before and after on the $1 gold piece and a 1915 Gold Hart token that was supposedly made and sold at the PPIE.
I had always wanted one of these. Walked into my dealers place one day not long ago and there it was. I grew up in the Cold War/nuclear age and even spent my Army time as a nuclear missile crewman. Anyway, I was tickled to find it.
I remember the nuclear blast drills they conducted in grade school. Everyone under our desks surely would thwart that danged nuclear blast!
Yea, the good thing if any about a nuclear blast, is we probably wont feel anything, instant vaporized.
We ducked and tucked one day in an elementary school nuke drill. A friend of mine then yelled out: “Now, kiss your butt goodbye!” He survived the ensuing beating.
My apologies with my post earlier. I thought you were referring to encased novelty type coins. You were looking for expo coins. Sorry bout that.
