Explanation on Mintmark: 1993 "D" Lincoln

    I talked to James Wiles today and he's going to be reveiwing both coins. So Off to the Post office I go to send the coins.

    UPDATE: I recieved the coins back today and was a little disappointed..who wouldnt want a high value coin :) but at least I got answers as to what each of the coins are. So I must thank Mr. Wiles for that.

    On his letter mr James Wiles states that 1975-D Cent is Machine Damage Doubling. Notice how the secondary image goes right up to the lower serif and stops. True, RPMs will have splits in the serifs of the mintmarks.

    Ohio/Tenessee Quarters (2002): Also Machine Damage Doubling, This is a strong example but has no premium valu. Tru hub doubling will have splits in the serifs of the letters. Notice how the doublign here either stops at the serifs or rounds them.
