Glacier- nickname i guess for being emotionless and MI = Michigan. All a sign of the times, my high school nickname was stringbean.. I'd have to drop a good 100 lbs to ever use that one again
I choose mine because I have always had a fear of wolves, but since I got married to a wolf lover, wolves kind of grew on me....the 69 represents my birthyear 1969.....
I was named after my grandfather, Walter T. Allen, but I was called by Allen, my middle name instead of Walter my first name. The family did not want to go through the big Walter - little Walter game. He was a great man whom I love very much. After he passed away I started thinking of ways to honor him and this is just one of them. My parents devorced when I was a baby so my grandfather was the only real father figure I could relate to growing up. He taught me many things about being a "gentlemen". He wasn't a coin collector per say, but he did introduce me to the buffalo nickel, which had disappeared from circulation by the mid sixties. He also had a set a peace dollars, framed, which I barely remember. I could go on all day about him, but I won't.
Greetings, I stole my parents second business name "Draco" which was an acronym Denton Refrigeration-Appliance Co. Bruce
Okay: TreasHunt is from my metal detecting, I am a kind of Treasure Hunter, the only problem is that I have never really found treasure, sure, gold rings, silver, silver coins, but to date nothing like Mel Fisher.
I'm a relative newcomer to numismatics. I only got into it in late 2005 and one of the first coins I picked up was an 1883-O Morgan, hence my monikker -- not very imaginative, i suspect.
mokanmike51 I have mine because I live in Missouri, but about 8 blocks for the Kansas state line, and my name is Mike, and I was 51 when I made it. MIKE
Sorry about bringing back an old thread. I'll add mine in. MagicPhoenix is my screenname (chose it when I was 9) and now that I'm a little older I prefer Phoenix. Another nickname of mine is MP. The 21 was one to look cool and two Phoenix was already taken. Thanks again for the thread Jody. Phoenix
Mine come from being from a small town in West Virginia called Short Gap. My middle name is Robert, hence the Bob. When I was younger, my mother was signing me up for something and needed to create a user ID. She came up with Shortgapbob and it stuck.
Back in school, in this genetics section, I would write the word mutant with the greek "mu" for shorthand - and everyone who read my notes wondered what this j-tant thing was (bad handwriting)... That was when I started using internet screennames, much easier to use that than my actual name which is too common.
I have very thick and curly hair. It is auburn, but if you catch it in the sun just right, you can really see the red in it. After the summer when it has been bleached by the sun for 7 or 8 months, it looks more brown. I tried growing it out when I was in my twenties, but instead of growing "down" it literally grew "out". It looked like a cross between Slash and Carrot Top. People started calling me Curly, and I kept it. mmv is the Roman numeral for 2005, which is the year I created the email account I registered with. Hence, curlymmv.

Hello, Although being french and living in France, I tend to have some american culture influence from music and movies. Then my ID is a sort of mix between Frank Zappa's "call any vegetable" and movies such as Terminator, Predator, Aviator and so on. As for my avatar, it's, at least to my eyes, the best symbol of friendship between our two countires. Cucumbor
