That in itself is telling.  Someone who's primary language is likely English, perhaps tested the item, discovered that it's silver and scratched that in there, long after the item was made.  Have you tested the metal?Here are some reasonable guesses :   the item is about 40 - 50 years old. the item was acquired as a souvenir by an English speaking visitor to Saudi Arabia. the item is a cast-made emblem, worn as a symbol of some service. Wish I could offer more help. This is not meant as an ethnic slur but there are a lot of Arabic speaking taxi drivers in any big city. Also there are ethnic restaurants with Arabic speaking employees in big cities. Look in a phone book for a Muslim Church. Good Luck.   Let us know what you find out.[/QUOTE]
