    ~30.75mm, ~15.7grams
    Remnant of pendant hoop on rim above date;
    Obverse: Central male profile left; crescent above 3 stars; date (?); striped banner
    w/3 stars; panel with very small script at bottom.
    Reverse: Maritime waterfront scene; fine script above clouds, in lighthouse beam.

    I am, of course, completely without clue. Thanks for looking! wlw

    [IMG] I don't know, but perhaps something to do with Egypt? The lighthouse reminds me of the lighthouse of Alexandria, and the guy sorta looks like Nasser. The older flag of Egypt was a crescent moon with three stars like the one on the left. The flag on the right is similar to Iraq's or Syria's (former flags, not present). The date above the head is 1958, but that would be a Christian date?

    You know, in 1958, the United Arab Republic was formed when Egypt and Syria formed a political union. I'll betcha......

    VERY Good history! The two profiles are near identical...I really think you've tied it all together. Excellent, Thanks! wlw
